As we all know, central heating plays havoc with skin and can cause skin to feel extra dry and dehydrated. As the winter sets in and current times have necessitated much more time spent indoors, additional applications of even the most hydrating of moisturising creams just doesn’t seem to help. But we have discovered an extra boost of much required moisture from this product often described by those in the know as a ‘life-saver’. Weleda’s Evening Primrose Age Revitalising Concentrate uses the ‘golden bloom’ of the Evening Primrose Plant, and just a few drops of this vegan concentrate deeply nourishes and boosts the skin, as well as increases moisture levels.
In addition to vitamin-E enriched active, organic Evening Primrose oil, the concentrate also contains Sachi Inchi Oil which is rich in omega-3’s and omega-6’s which are known to improve skin’s elasticity and promoting cell regeneration and renewal. Combined with moisturising Aloe Vera and invigorating Centella Asiatica extract which helps reactivate and plump skin leaving it feeling revitalised and appearing toned and firmed.
The product is actually recommended for maturer skin but we feel that a user of any age would benefit. We have used it for the last month on a cleansed face twice per day; in the morning under a moisturiser, and in the evening before applying a night cream. Just a small pearl-sized drop is all that’s required. It’s not sticky, just lovely, light and refreshing. And after only four weeks, we have noticed a massive difference in skin plumpness.
We’re huge fans of the Weleda range. And for anyone not au fait with the brand, we strongly urge you to check out their beautiful products. The company started in 1921 as a pharmaceutical laboratory, with its own plant garden, and is today a world-leading manufacturer of certified natural by NATRUE personal care. Weleda’s founder, Dr. Rudolf Steiner along with Dr. Ita Wegman, and a team of scientists, created the first synergistic products designed to reconnect the body with its natural rhythms. Weleda are vegan and cruelty-free, and their approach is very much grounded in holistic health.
